What is the Miracle on long street

Our History

In the year 2000, the St. Paul Players Drama Ministry decided to present a live outdoor nativity, complete with actors, camels, donkeys and a few miscellaneous goats.

At first, the nativity seemed like a wonderful concept, but it soon became clear that our audience was in need of much more. We noticed that many of our audience struggled with the need for warm clothing and perhaps a hot bowl of homemade soup. Thus the Miracle On Long Street was born.

Birthed out of St. Paul A.M.E. church, in Columbus, Ohio, the Miracle On Long Street started providing food, clothing, household items, toiletries, and school supplies.

For almost two decades we have devoted our time, energy, efforts and resources to passionately advocating for the hungry, and those who encounter that occasional “Bump” in the road. We strive to develop partnerships with local, state, and national  organizations to help finance our monthly feedings, school supply drive, and our annual Miracle Holiday Give.

Our Present

Mission Statement

To serve those residents that encounter that occasional “bump” in the road.

We provide clothing, coats and hygiene items to Trevitt Elementary and Champion Middle School, both are located in the heart of the King Lincoln district.

Many of the children in our communities lack the essential resources necessary to encourage them to want to get the most out of their school learning experience.

We provide resources that enable them to be kept clothed and warm. We offer an assortment of shoes, clothing, hats, gloves and coats to assist families  when needed.

Our Future
